"IDEA. DILIGENCE. TEAM"

TETYANA PETRIVNA OSTAPCHUK, Candidate of Economic Sciences (PhD), Assistant Professor of the Chair of Accounting and Control, Vice-dean of the Faculty of Accounting and Finance, Head of the Trade Union of teachers and employees of ZSTU, graduated from Zhytomyr Institute of Engineering and Technology with honors, certified auditor of Ukraine. Co-author of the following manuals: “Accounting in Commerce”, “Financial Accounting. Synopsis of Lectures”, and textbooks: “Accounting in Public Catering”, “Economic Analysis”, “Fundamentals of Business”, “Accounting in Budgetary Institutions” and others. Scientific interests: problematic issues of accounting theory, accounting for investing activity of enterprises, accounting in budgetary institutions.

The Faculty of Accounting and Finance establishment became possible due to the Order No. 350 of the ZSTU Rector dated October 27^th, 2003.

Accounting and finance specialists preparation at the Faculty of Accounting and Finance (FAF) of Zhytomyr State Technological University is performed on a high level and in the direction of "Economy and Entrepreneurship" in two specialties 7.050106 "Accounting and Auditing", and 7.050104 "Finance". Any business entity won't work without such specialists as an accountant and a financier. They possess all the economic information on enterprise's activity, carry out analysis and planning of financial activities, manage financial resources of an enterprise and a country as a whole, advice managers in the process of economic decisions making, assist an enterprise to attain tactic objectives and strategic goals.

Three education-qualified levels hold schooling of specialists: bachelor, specialist and master of full-time department and corresponding course, studying on the contract and scholarship bases. The educational scientific-manufacturing complex "Accounting and Auditing" has been functioning since 1995 as well as educational scientific-production complex "Finance" - since 2005 Zhytomyr including colleges, technical schools and mainstream manufacturing enterprises of the region. There is also the course for obtaining doctoral degree on the specialty "Accounting, Analysis and Auditing".

The main structural subdivisions of the Faculty are: the Chair of Accounting and Control headed by Doctor of Economics, Professor, Licensed legal expert, Distinguished Science and Technology Leader of Ukraine, Honorable Student of Education and Science of Ukraine, F.F. Butynets; the Chair of Analysis and Statistics is headed by the Candidate of Economic Sciences (PhD), professor N.M. Malyuga; the Chair of Finance is headed by the Candidate of Economic Sciences (PhD), Assistant Professor O.M. Petruk; and the Chair of Economic theory headed by the candidate of Economic Sciences, Professor K.S. Soloninko. Academic staff is represented by the experienced professors as well as young scientists - Candidates of Economic Sciences (PhD).

7 Doctors of Economic Sciences, professors, 40 Candidates of Economic Sciences (PhD) educate the specialists at the Faculty.

By February 1, 2005 1339 students have been studying at the Faculty and this amount is made up of 630 full-time students and 708 corresponding courses students.

• Well-known in Ukraine and abroad Zhytomyr Scientific Accounting School, established by Doctor of Economics, Professor F.F. Butynets. The main results of the School are Candidates of Economic Sciences (PhD), young scientists (more than 30 candidates' theses have been defended during 5 years) and doctors of economic preparation, as well as educational literature and scientific papers publishing;
• academic staff, is represented by experienced professors, doctors of sciences as well as young scientists, mainly graduated from our university;
• studying process provision with Faculty's textbooks and other educational literature which is recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine; they are used in educational process by the students of the majority of higher educational institutions in Ukraine;
• unique informational data base, which is the electronic catalogue of literature sources, containing theses, abstracts, bibliographic descriptions of books, journals and scientific papers for the last two centuries;
• teaching specialty in Polish, Bulgarian and English. Young lecturers, who have been on probation abroad, deliver accounting disciplines in foreign languages. The studying materials prepared at the Faculty accomplish methodic provision of studying process "Polish club", "English club" and "Bulgarian club".
• obtaining knowledge of modern computer technologies and skills of its usage in professional activity. There are two studying laboratories in the structure of the Faculty; those are computer labs joint into the local network and connected to the Internet. The Faculty students study programs "Finance without problems"; "1S:Buhgalteriya" versions 7.5, 7.7; "Galaktyka"; BEST 4.0; "Parus-Predpriyatiye" versions 7.11; Info-Buhgalter 8.2. All the teachers involved into the Informational Systems course delivering are certified in "1S:Buhgalteriya 6.0, 7.5, 7.7", "Parus-Predpriyatiye 7.20", "Parus Management and Marketing 7.40" and had obtain appropriate certificates;
• Faculty's edition, the newspaper "Active", is issued monthly by the editorial staff of students and teachers;
• graduate students, who work at the enterprises as accountants, Chief accountants, financial managers, financial directors, auditors; at the positions of leading economists at the Control and Revision Institution, Treasury, Financial Management, Region Administration, banking system; lecturers at higher educational institutions, technical schools and colleges;
• wide geography of international relationships, cooperation with higher educational institutions of Russia, Moldova, Belarus, Republic Bulgaria, Poland, France, Germany, the USA and other countries; holding the international conferences on accounting and business control development problems; students and lecturers exchange, participation in international projects.

• Center of Promoting Employment and Professional Career Development. The main aim of the Center is to promote employment of students and graduates of the Faculty of Accounting and Finance of the ZSTU, consulting them on issues concerning the labor market civilized regulation, further good relations with graduates of our University;
• Methodic Club. It is headed by the Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor L.V. Chyzhevska. Meetings of the Methodic Club are held in the round-table form, where the optimal ways of solving didactic problems within discussions, experience and thoughts exchange are determined;
• in order to increase the educational level of students of "Accounting and Auditing" and "Finance" specialties, scientific directed seminars were organized and are being constantly held by the teachers of the faculty;
• Statistic Center. Center's main purpose is to proceed and provide statistical information on quantitative and qualitative figures concerning studying, pedagogical, methodical and scientific activity of academic staff and students of the Faculty. The survey results are being published in the newspaper "Active";
• Poetry Club. It was established in order to detect creative gifted individuals and to provide them a possibility for self-expression. At the Club's meetings both the representatives of the academic staff and students exchange their verses and impressions.

The Chair of Accounting and Control was created within the structure of the Faculty of Accounting and Finance on July 1, 2004 by division of the Chair of Accounting and Auditing. Now the Doctor of Economics, Professor Frants Frantsovych Butynets, heads the Chair. Lecturers of the Chair are high-qualified specialists, graduates of the ZSTU and students of Distinguished Science and Technology Leader of Ukraine, doctor of Economics, professor F.F. Butynets, representatives of the Scientific Accounting School of the ZSTU. Majority of teachers are licensed auditors, and they all have experience of work in the auditing and financial analysis sphere.

The Chair of Analysis and Statistics was created in the structure of the Faculty of Accounting and Finance on July 1, 2004 by division of the Chair of Accounting and Auditing. Now the Candidate of Economic Sciences (PhD), University professor Nataliya Myhaylivna Malyuga heads the Chair. Lecturers of the Chair are high-qualified specialists, graduates of the ZSTU and students of the Distinguished Science and Technology Leader of Ukraine, doctor of Economics, professor F.F. Butynets, representatives of the Scientific Accounting School of the ZSTU. Certified auditors, with experience of work in the auditing and financial analysis sphere make up the majority of lecturers.

The Chair of Finance was created on July 1, 1999. The Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Oleksandr Myhaylovych Petruk heads it. Lecturers of the Chair teach 15 disciplines, which give theoretical fundamentals and practical skills in the sphere of state finance and business entities' finance. The Doctor of economics, professor, two candidates of economic sciences, associate professors, one associate professor and three senior lecturers head academic staff of the Chair.

The Chair of Economics was created on May 11, 1999. The Candidate of Economic Sciences (PhP), Professor Kostiantyn Stepanovych Soloninko heads it. Lecturers of the Chair teach 9 disciplines. The staff of 5 teachers is made up of 2 Candidates of Economic Sciences (PhD) and 3 senior lecturers.
