The Chair was established in accordance with the University's Head Decree №164 after May11th,1999 and started functioning as a basic structural subcomplex of higher educational institution since July1, 1999. Its basic task was to increse the quality of theoretic specialists' training in "Accounting", "Management Organization", "Enterprise Economy", "Finance", "Personnel Management" and to organize high level of scientific and methodical teaching of political economy, economics fundamentals, history of economic studies, microeconomics, macroeconomics, international economics, position of productive forces. 5 persons were involved into the process: 1 professor, 1 Assistant Professor, 3 senior lecturers. Two persons had a scientific degree. Candidate of Economic Sciences (PhD), professor Soloninko Kostyantyn Stepanovych was appointed as the Head of the Chair. All tutors of the Chair are specialists in economic disciplines teaching. The absolute majority have University education.

Tutors' scientific, methodical and proficiancy level gave an opportunity to develop sufficient lecturing and research work organization. Senior lecturers Gorobchuk Tetyana Tymofiivna and Vozna Lyudmula Yuriivna prepared and defended theses for obtaining the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences (PhD) for two years. Gorobchuk's T.T. thesis "Peculiarities of Pricing in Market Transition" gained high expert evaluation, and Vozna's L.Y. thesis "Cycling Peculiarities in Ukraine Economy Development of Today" was included into the monographic edition of the Institute of Economics of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. In January, 2004 Ushapovskyy Y.V. defended thesis for obtaining the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences (PhD) on the topic: "Estimation Theory Evolution in the Ukrainian Thought of XIX - the beginning of XX century".

A system of open classes conduct and discussion, the of collective attendance and interattendance of the classes, working experience exchange is organized for rising the quality of teaching and level of methdic skill on the Chair. Scientific-methodic and scientific-theoretic seminars are regularly held. Tutors participate in the International and Interuniversity conferences in other educational establishments and abroad. The Assistant Professor Vozna L.Y. took part in the international conference in Ivanovo (Russia). Professor Soloninko K.S. made a speech on "Problems of Ukraine Integration into the World Economy" at the international conference in Phoros (Crimea). The majority of teachers worked on probation in other educational and state institutions.

The Chair maintains and develops business relations with the chairs and higher educational institutions of Ukraine and other countries. The Assistant Professor Ushapovskyy Y.V. worked on probation at the Economics Faculty in Reni (France). Professor Soloninko K.S. delivered the lecture course on problems of Economy Regulation in Ukraine at the Mogilevskyy University.

Nowadays the Chair concentrated its main work on the improvement of scientific and methodic level of teaching of all the 11 disciplines, on the resource base modernization, creation of the new methodic supply, scientific staff training, young teachers education. 3 dissertations were defended on the Chair for 5 years of its existence. 8 textbooks in Political Economy, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Economics History Study, International Economics, 2 of them having the stamp of Ministry of Education and Science were published.

Teaching staff of the Chair participated and made speeches at 5 international conferences and 10 scientific-theoretic conferences between Universities.

The main aim of the Chair's activity is to provide necessary conditions for getting higher education, highly qualified specialists in economic direction training.

The Chair works out the idea of theoretic and economic disciplines teaching in connection with transition to the Bologna Education System. A separate group of teachers works at the monograph's preparation "Peculiarities of Economic Relations Reform in the Countries With Transition Economies". Special work is connected with the dissertation research.

The lecturer, Severenchuk A.L., works on the topic: "Strategic Formation of Radiation Polluted Areas Socio-economic Reproduction".

The lecturer, Yarova L.A., works out "Innovation Mechanism of Competitive Ability Supply in the Hop Branch".

The lecturer Kostrytsya M.M. works at the problem of "Regional Peculiarities of Functioning and Development of the Tourists Branch".

Soloninko Kostyantyn Stepanovych is the Head of the Chair, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Professor of Zhytomyr State technological University. He was born in the Velyamovichi village, Byelorussia Republic, on November 25, 1937. Byelorussian by nationality. After graduation from Zhytomyr Air-Raid Military School in 1959 he served in the Armed Forces of the Soviet.

In 1968 graduated from Rostov-na-Donu State University. An economist by speciality, teacher of Political Economy. Since 1971 he has been working as a lecturer. He published 85 scientific works during his pedagogic activity. Among them are: 1 monograph, 6 textbooks, 26 educational and methodic manuals, 52 scientific articles and speeches.

Soloninko Kostyantyn Stepanovych the Head of the Economic Theory Chair, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Professor of Zhytomyr State Technological University.. In 1968 graduated from the Economic Faculty of Rostov-na-Donu State University and received economic specialty, the teacher of political economy. Since 1969 he has been working as a lecturer. In 1978 defended Candidate’s thesis in Kyiv Institute of Trade and Economy. Topic of dissertation is: “Quality of Production and Problems of its Stimulation”. Academic status of Associate Professor (PhD) was given by SAC (Supreme Attestation Council) decision on April 29, 1981 (certificate PhD №044047). Academic status of Professor was given by decision of the State USSR Committee in popular schooling on January 29, 1992 (certificate Pr №012857). Lecturer of Social Sciences Chair of Zhytomyr Air-Raid Military School since 1971. Vice-chairman since 1974, head of the Chair of Zhytomyr Military School since 1984. Professor of Accounting Chair of Zhytomyr Institute of Engineering and Technology since 1992. Vice-chairman of Economic Theory Chair of Zhytomyr State Technological University since 1999. Current scientific interests lie in the study of results of world economic relations globalization for countries with transition economies, participation of Ukraine in integration processes of global and regional direction, methodic of economic sciences teaching improvement, problems of Ukrainian education transition to European standards. Elaboration and practical realization of production means, stimulation in quality products increasing, grounding of the main vectors of integration processes in Ukraine are considered to be his chief scientific results. The main approaches to the characterization of the scientific subject “Globalistics” have been formulated in the latest scientific article. Total quantity of scientific works constitutes 82.
